PRESTACIONES Y AYUDAS It is the State and the State Authorities obligation to garantee prevention, medical and psychological care, adequate rehabilitation and economic resources to facilitate personal growth and work and social integration for those who have severe epilepsy.

Spanish citizens and those from other countries who meet the requirements established by law can receive benefits.

The paperwork which needs to be completed to receive benefits and assistance is done through official organisations at no cost.

 
Time off work

bajas laborales"Determinant situations which will be considered as temporary incapacity: Those common or professional illnesses and accidents which may or may not be work related, and whilst the worker is receiving medical assistance from Social Security. The worker receives this assistance for a maximum period of 12 months which can be extended for a further 6 months if it is assessed that the worker will be cured within this period and able to return to work".

Disability certificates

certificados de discapacidadIt is a document that legally justifies that a person has a physical, mental or sensory disability. The document can be applied for in specialist disability centres, it should be the one nearest to your home and you can apply at any time during the year. 

Without the certificate you will be unable to apply for assistance, grants and benefits from Public Organisations.

Disability
