In recent years the boost to investigate by pharmacuetical companies and public and private investigation centres is producing important advances, such as new more efficient drugs with fewer side effects, as well as innovative diagnostic tools which enable the identification of more epileptic sub groups.

Apemsi celebrates all new scientific, technical or clinical findings which are useful in fighting this pathology and we demand that Government, Health Authorities and Biomedical Companies need to strengthen this investigative effort so as to finally find the drugs or alternative therapies which are able to control seizures for those who have severe epilepsy.
