The primary objective of the Association is to the fight against epilepsy in every way possible.
The work of the association is based on three basic core principles:

Representation within legislation to facilitate policy and procedures for the prevention of the illness, to promote research and improve the quality of life of those affected by epilepsy.

To promote and seek citizen participation with the objective of involving those citizens in seeking solutions in the fight against epilepsy.

Plan and execute strategies, programmes and services which are driven by the needs of the patients and their families and at the same time promote the prevention, training, investigation, dissemination and change the perceptions of society to ensure the full integration in society of those affected by epilepsy.
The work and effort of all those in the association is to reach key strategic objectives:

To inform and make society aware of the facts that help to prevent and provide early detection of epilepsy to reduce incident rates world-wide.

Improve the quality of life of those affected by epilepsy and their families, seeking solutions to the problems which arise from the illness.

To promote investigation about epilepsy.

To promote the participation and integration of the professionals and volunteers that work in this fight.

Protect and disseminate the rights of those affected by epilepsy (critical) to ensure their active participation as well as planning, supporting and adopting national strategies.
